Danielle Friesen (b. 1997, Winnipeg, MB) is an emerging artist based in St Leonards-on-Sea, UK. Working from a foundation of drawing, she creates work that explores repetition, layering, and examined ephemera. Her practice engages with the fleeting and intuitive aspects of experience.
Danielle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (2025) and a Diploma in Graphic Design (2019). She has exhibited work in group exhibitions and had a solo exhibition at the Anna Leonowens Gallery, showing a body of work made in the final year of her undergraduate degree.
Now developing a studio practice in St Leonards, she continues to investigate the endurance of repeated mark-making and her ongoing engagement with found objects.
